CGreen
- the name gives the idea: C is the symbol for carbon, the
fundamental element of Earth's organic chemistry, of living
material and, yet, its combustion in fire has released energy
on demand since the beginning of time. Green
is the colour of nature, of plants, of trees in which chlorophyll
does its essential work.
CGreen - a name, an aspiration,
a business
The
sponsors of CGreen believe
there is an opportunity created by the United Nations Framework
Convention on Climate Change (in force, 1994) and the expression
of the "Kyoto Protocol" (1997) to examine the
business case for managed, verifiable commercial forestry
as a means to contribute to net emission targets of the
"greenhouse" gas, carbon dioxide.
